Outline
of Follow Up Report to Communities
The
follow-up report for each community is based on
both survey results from community members and
input from the Tour Team. We will provide our summary
feedback to key community officials within one
week of the
tour date. After the summary report the Tour Team
and the Community Host will review notes and the
final report will be completed.
For
the sake of consistency and in order to aggregate
our
findings
for our
final
report
for the Legislative Summit, we will be organizing
our local and statewide reports under the following
discussion headings.
Report
Outline
1.
The Grow Iowa Tour mission and outline
of purpose.
2. A note
on local participation highlighting the local
organizations
that facilitated the day.
3.
An introduction of the IBF Grow Iowa Tour
Team for each Community.
4.
A summary agenda report on the day’s
activities and participants.
5.
Summary of Findings. Based on Surevey results
and Tour Team feedback.
- Spotlight
on Success - Areas that scored
more than 90 percent agreement from
community
members that are also supported by
the observations of the tour team.
These are the obvious “wins” for
the community and may serve as examples
for other communities.
- Strong
Support - Areas that
scored more than 75 percent agreement
from community
members and that the tour team feels
are solid advantages for the community.
- Things
to "Keep an Eye On" -
Areas that scored more than 50
percent
agreement from community members
and that the
tour team recognizes as comparable
to other communities,
but not significant issues other
than those perhaps for community
officials
to keep in
mind for the future.
- Opportunities
for Growth - Areas
that scored less than 50 percent
agreement
from community
members that the Tour Team felt
may indicate a potential communication
or planning roadblock
and that should be further discussed
and monitored by community leaders.
6.
Between the Lines - Areas
of interest identified by the
Tour Team as well as
thoughts on hard to quantify
issues such as differences of opinion
between sub-groups of the community. For
example,
if the team saw a major difference
of
opinion
between
the responses
of CEOs as compared to cultural
leaders or young professionals
or differences
of opinion
between age categories, these
areas may need to be carefully
examined
by leaders
and community
members of each group.
7. Conclusion -
The big picture take-away of the day.
8.
Homework - Projects
or ideas about which the IBF
would like more information in order to
share with other communities
9.
Evaluation - The IBF will provide
evaluation forms for community members to
be collected after
the Tour and will report any key issues
back to the Community Host.
10.
Additional Tour Resources -
Online gallery of images,
downloadable documents and a video
review of the Tour Teams time in the community.
